Shuoma Environmental Tech Signs Major Spent Lithium-Ion Battery Recycling Partnership in Africa

We are thrilled to announce that Ningbo Shuoma Environmental Protection Technology has officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with our local African partner for spent lithium-ion battery procurement and recycling, witnessed by local government representatives, industry stakeholders, and the Shuoma team.

This partnership marks a key milestone in our global recycling network, as we expand our footprint into Africa’s fast-growing new energy market. We will build a stable, compliant supply chain for retired prismatic LFP cells, battery modules, and black mass, addressing both the growing waste management challenge and the critical demand for responsible recycling solutions in the region.

Africa’s EV and energy storage sectors are booming, but the lack of a mature recycling infrastructure leads to significant resource waste and environmental risks. With our proven expertise in spent lithium-ion battery processing and resource recovery, we are committed to not only providing a reliable off-take channel but also empowering local communities through training and standardized recycling practices.

Since our founding in 2019, Shuoma has built a robust global presence, covering China, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Africa, with strategic partnerships with The Coca-Cola Company, Germany’s L&B, France’s CARBIOS, and more. This new collaboration aligns perfectly with our mission: to develop waste recycling technologies and advance the cause of resource reuse worldwide, contributing to a greener planet.

Together with our African partners, we are taking a step forward in building a circular economy that connects continents, unlocks value from waste, and protects the environment for future generations.
